STOMMPY'S VISION: REVOLUTIONIZE THE INDUSTRY TO FOSTER ITS CONTINUED PROGRESS

A nearly twenty-year-long journey of work and awareness has led STOMMPY to clearly define its spirit and horizon.

When we talk about a company's vision we often refer, and with good reason, to that succinct, assertive and summarizing phrase whose task it is to present the ideal horizon of the company itself and of the entrepreneurs who lead it. It is undoubtedly an excellent way of declaring to the world and the market, in a few select words, the breath of one's business project; but it happens that sometimes what lies behind a company vision, what moves around it and helps to define it, is just as important and equally worthy of being told.

Such is the case with STOMMPY, whose current vision is the result of an articulate and methodical journey that over time has led the company to mature an approach and entrepreneurial consciousness unique in the industry.

From the very first observations of the impact protection market, now twenty years ago, it was clear to Marco Chiarini and his partner Luca Gatti the enormous evolutionary potential that characterized the sector, even though at the time its true value and the real needs of the market were not yet precisely defined.

STOMMPY has therefore taken its first steps focusing totally on the evolution of the performance of its products, directing attentions and economic resources towards the research and development area, with the clear and ambitious goal of becoming in a short time the technological leader in the market of impact protection. A success achieved since the first year of activity and still unchanged, thanks to which the company has been able to develop over time solid organizational foundations and ever-growing volumes of turnover and market share.

After a few years since the start of operations, however, it gradually became clearer and clearer how STOMMPY's future was not only to become a leading company in the construction technology of impact protection, but also, and more importantly, the innovative benchmark in the entire field of safety for all work environments.

A realization that six years ago, together with the steady growth of company experience and the broadening of the market to which STOMMPY addressed itself, was the basis for the most important insight in the company's history: to no longer look solely at the product, but on the contrary to aim at the entire context of the market in which the product itself was being sold and applied, better understanding its shortcomings, needs and development margins.

The more STOMMPY would be able to read the needs of the market, the more it would be able to make the market aware of them, consequently expanding its services and strength in the market itself.

And so it was. Thanks to this simple but enlightening insight, the company has come to overcome the current general conception of the impact protection industry, in which manufacturers are free to operate without any technical/regulatory parameters to comply with, without having to guarantee product performance, and without the customer having to worry about selecting them based on a scientific assessment of the impact risks existing in their company.

In this landscape of regulatory vacuum, it is not surprising that the generalized rule in the market is not "how much does this impact protectionresist ," but rather "how much does this impact protectioncost."

STOMMPY, on the other hand, has decided to propose to the market a new vision of safety in work environments, moving before anyone else in a totally opposite direction, that is, subjecting all of its impact protectors to endurance testing at AISICO, one of the best-known certification companies and experts in road guardrail testing.  

What the company has done is to chart a logical path by which the consumer can recognize his or her on-farm impact hazard, assign an energy value to this hazard, and select from the catalog the most suitable impact protection for the application, through an energy value of impact resistance appropriate to the calculated need.

In other words, STOMMPY has transformed itself from a simple manufacturer of the best performing shock protectors on the market to a revolutionary innovator in the field of safety, a path that has seen it move on several fronts: the first was the sharing of the new vision with those who have made safety an institutional mission, namely the Italian National Standards Body - UNI - entitled to write and disseminate all the technical standards that govern the market, with the aim of protecting and increasing the safety of citizens. STOMMPY reported to the Body the gap in the field of impact protection and submitted the "Guideline for the choice and application of Impact Safety Devices in Industry," a good practice guide, drafted by STOMMPY, which aims to support the work of safety managers within companies in choosing impact protection, following the logic of impact risk assessment, energy calculation of the risk and application of the correct protection. A successful initiative thanks to which the publication of the first technical standard in this field on the global market is expected in June 2020.

The second front was the radical renewal of corporate communication, a complete rebranding project carried out under the banner of the technical and cultural revolution that STOMMPY is promoting in the industry.

The third front of action, on the other hand, concerned STOMMPY's approach to its customers: the sales network is now continuously trained to advise customers and guide them to the most correct path to true security, explaining with the support of logic and physics the performance of the evolved and high-performance, certified and guaranteed shock protectors proposed by the company.
