NATURE OF THE PROJECT

• Replacement of the old metal guards that have rusted and completely torn apart due to constant bumping;
• demarcation and protection of pedestrian paths in order to apply the highest standards in terms of personnel safety in compliance with company regulations.

CUSTOMER OBJECTIVES

DOOR PROTECTION

Wherever there is high movement, doors are one of the most vulnerable elements. We decided to install shock protectors dedicated to them so as to preserve them over time and guarantee the customer a reduction on their maintenance costs and production downtime caused by the inability to cross adjacent areas.

PROTECTION OF PEDESTRIAN AREAS

We secured the entire walkway adjacent to the offices by protecting pedestrians from being hit by pallet trucks and reach trucks.

SOLUTION PROPOSED BY STOMMPY

After a careful analysis of the types of handling present in the different areas indicated by the client, a technical solution was devised that could secure the pedestrians in the outdoor and indoor areas and the access routes, and related parking, to the weighbridge, the plant's focal point.

The choice of the most suitable impact protection is dictated by a scientific and objective method that considers 3 basic steps:

• Collection of mass and velocity data of transportation vehicles used in individual business areas;
• Calculation of the impact energies of the Client's vehicles, to identify the necessary level of resistance of the crash protectors to be applied;
• Selection of the type of impact protection most suitable for the customer's purpose, in terms of energy resistance level, operational footprint, and type and height of protection.
