LOADING BAY PROTECTION: IMPACT ABSORPTION

Loading bays are the most hectic place within companies. Here the control of the two key parameters of the maneuvering of vehicles, namely alignment and reverse, make the real difference between efficiency in precision and speed of maneuver and the elimination of damages.

These are the different solutions to ensure maximum efficiency in this area:

Wheel Guides: to force vehicles to position themselves perfectly in the center of the loading bay, avoiding damaging external lateral sealants or infrastructures;

Opa System: optical parking assistance, to guide the driver in reverse and gradually lead him to the stop against the loading bay;

Dock Buffers: to cushion the impact of the vehicle against the loading bay;

Trolley Wheel Stop: to define the exact stopping point on the loading bay;

Wheel Stop Wedge: to stop the unauthorized departure of the vehicle.

When approaching the Loading Bay door, all trucks need to level the trailer to the platform or to the sectional doors.

This operation, by its nature, triggers a friction at the crucial point of the loading door and it is therefore essential to prevent any erosion. STOMMPY® offers three types of dock buffers to perform this function: Spring-loaded Dock Buffer on wall, oscillating Dock Buffer on wall and Upright Dock Buffer anchored on pavement.

The Dock Buffer function is absorbing and dissipating the impact energy with the rubber and the coil spring.

This system saves maintenance and repair costs of the constituent elements of the Loading Bays, ensuring the attenuation of trailer friction in leveling maneuvers at the cargo loading/unloading platform.

Once the black pad is worn out, simply replace it to restore total functionality.
